Web Based Training Using Element K
Renewal and Registration

To Renew SEFLIN Element K® Subscriptions:

SEFLIN subscription(s) to Element K® E-Learning must be renewed each year. To continue a course or begin new couses, you must add Access Key(s) to your current Element K® login. This is the only way to continue courses in progress and to keep your transcript of completed learning. Here are the steps for Element K® renewal.

  • Contact your Library or Library System SEFLIN Training Administrator to obtain new Access Key(s).
  • At the Element K® web site (http://www.elementk.com/login.asp ), log into your student account with your current username and password. You SHOULD NOT create a new username and password. The transcript and records of previous learning is only available through your existing username and password. 
  • If you are unsure of your login information, use the “Forgot your username or password?” link. Enter your email address. Your account information will be emailed to you. Then you can return to the Element K® log in screen to complete your login.
  • To update information for your Element K® username account, at the Welcome screen use the My Account menu for Account Information and Personal Information. After you enter your password, you may change information and then select “Update” to save the changes.

To Register for SEFLIN Element K as a New Subscriber:

  • Please contact your library or library system SEFLIN Training Administrator to receive your "Access Key."
  • Point your Internet Browser to http://www.elementk.com/login.asp
  • In the Access Key Enrollment box, enter your "Access Key"  and then "Submit". (Note your "Access Key" will be a series of numbers and letters. The "Access Key" is case sensitive and must include the dashes.)
  • Enter all fields on your "Personal Information" page. The information marked with an "*" is required to establish your account.  Please use your work email address and phone number. Choose Your Institution from the dropdown list. Click on the "Submit" button.
  • You are now registered. Login with your username and password to take Element K courses.

To Search and  Register for a Course:

  • To become familiar with the Element K site, you may want to play the tour of the site's features.
  • There are two main types of courses currently being offered by Element K. They are Self-Study and Instructor-Led. Self-Study courses are setup in an interactive multimedia format for you to take at your own pace.  The Instructor-Led courses are available online and taught by industry experts. The Instructor leads discussions, posts lessons, gives assignments, quizzes, etc.
  • There are two ways to search the new Element K Web site:

A. Click on the "Catalog" menu on the navigation bar at the top of the Element K home page. Then find a course by browsing the menus.

OR

B. Enter keyword in the Search box at the top of the page and click on the "Search" button. 

  • After you select the course, you will see an overview of the course. Follow the directions on the page to register. For self-paced courses, you can take a Course Assessment or "Click to Begin Course."
