SEFLIN Committees - Blazing a Trail Into the New Millennium
Our services, activities, projects, and programs all bear the distinctive stamp of SEFLIN’s 12 standing committees, made upof more than 150 members. Thesededicated committees and their membersare the heart of SEFLIN’s collaborative organization.
by Angela Feig
SEFLIN’s Continuing Education and Training Program, Sun Seekers, SHELLS, Awards Program, virtual meetings, 15th Anniversary map, DLLI courier test, and a library staff recruitment program all bear the distinctive stampof SEFLIN’s 12 standingcommittees, which are at theheart of SEFLIN’s collaborative organization.
The 12 committees are made up of more than 150 members who meet once to several times a year to develop and support services, programs, and projects. Including meeting and travel time, many hours per year are invested in committee meetings and activities.
SEFLIN’s e-mail distribution lists are used to exchange and disseminate committee information and minutes. Each committee’s minutes are posted online at /sefcomm/.
Committee members are appointed annually by their library Director. Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs are officially appointed by the SEFLIN Board President based on recommendations from the committee members and SEFLIN staff. Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs also compile the Annual Reports and Plans, which can be viewed online at /sefcomm/ under each committee link.
Committee Chairs present their Annual Reports at SEFLIN’s Annual Meeting, when all committee representatives are recognized each year for their service.
A Voice for Smaller Libraries Associate Members Committee
The 1999/2000 Associate Members Committee is headed by Chair Ed Nordine, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Vice Chair Virginia Farace, Boynton Beach Public Library.
The committee is composed of 11 representatives from SEFLIN’s smaller or more specialized libraries. Its mission is to be a voice for these libraries and to promote communication and cooperation among its members and the SEFLIN community.
SEFLIN’s Associate Members include the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Boynton Beach City Library, Carlos Albizu University, Florida Keys Community College, Florida Memorial College, Johnson & Wales University, Keiser College, Northwood University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Trinity International University, and West Palm Beach Public Library.
1999/2000 plans call for the committee to continue mentoring new Associate Members. As part of this, the committee developed a Checklist for new Associate Members available online at /assoc/ checklist.html. The Checklist contains frequently asked questions and was developed to help new SEFLIN members.
Of primary importance to these smaller or specialized libraries is their participation in the Bibliographic Enhancement Project and continued maintenance of their holdings information.
Cataloging Committee
SEFLIN’s Cataloging Committee is headed by Chair Donna Struthers of Nova Southeastern University and Vice Chair Maria Alvarez Berenbaum of Florida Atlantic University.
The Cataloging Committee co-sponsored the SEFLIN Continuing Education & Training Academy workshops Book Blitz and OCLC Boot Camp, and is looking at sponsoring future SEFLIN workshops in the areas of Authority Control, LC Classification, Evaluating Technical Services, Overview of Technical Services, and Cataloging for Paraprofessional Staff.
The committee is working on updating and merging The Cataloging Directory and Resource Guide into a single document and mounting it on the Web. The Cataloging Directory includes information about the cataloging skills of individuals who are willing to share knowledge and expertise in areas such as MARC Format, authority control, classification, particular subject knowledge, managerial skills, fluency and working knowledge of languages, and ability to transliterate. It also lists individuals and the topics they would be willing to address in presentations.
The Resource Guide includes information on the member institutions’ technical systems listing the automation systems and subsystems in use, the OPAC interface and staff interface, the LAN products and software networked, OCLC products and services, and use of vendor outsourcing.
Children & Youth Services Committee
One of the newer committees, SEFLIN’s Children & Youth Services Committee is headed by Chair Anne Leon of Broward County Library/North Regional, and Vice Chair Robyn Hemond of Palm Beach County Library.
The purpose of the SEFLIN Youth Services Committee is to promote awareness and cooperation among SEFLIN institutions concerning the provision of library services to area youth. A major thrust for this year is exploring issues and solutions for the recruitment and retention of Youth Services Librarians.
The committee is putting its youthful muscles into developing a series of workshops to help provide support to youth services staff. Each quarter, one topic will be developed and brought to several locations, so that more staff will be able to participate. The Fall 2000 workshop series will focus on the art of storytelling. The workshop will be presented at the following locations: North Regional/BCC Library on September 15th at 1:30 p.m.; Palm Beach County Main Library on October 19th at 2 p.m., and Miami-Dade on November 6 (time and location TBA). They will include an introduction with tips for successful storytelling, live presentations, and a question and answer session.
This committee recently sponsored popular SEFLIN Continuing Education & Training Academy workshops, including a Children’s Literature Workshop with Dr. Henrietta Smith, and I’m Not A Scientist, But I Play One at the Library with Meryll Cohen, Head of Youth Services, BCL.
The committee has also developed an ongoing resource project known as "The New Librarian’s Toolkit." Last year’s product was a Pack-and-Go Power Point presentation on "Internet for Families." This year, in response to requests, the committee will put together a Story Time Resource Packet. This packet will assist not only new youth services staff, but also the non-youth services staffers who occasionally provide story-time programs.
Circulation and Access Committee
The Circulation and Access Committee is headed by Chair Tim Devine of Florida Atlantic University and Vice Chair Alice Dupuis of Miami-Dade Public Library System.
This committee spearheaded the creation of the SEFLIN 15th Anniversary map, which lists all member institutions and sites in the five counties. The map has been so well received that it is being reprinted. For a copy of the map, e-mail seflince@bc.seflin.org and include your name, institution, and courier code.
Collection Development Committee
The Collection Development Committee is headed by Chair Mary Melby, University College Library/BCC, and Vice Chair Schlomit Schwarzer, Carlos Albizu University.
The mission of the Collection Development Committee is to provide a regional forum for the exchange of information, coordination, and planning on collection development matters of common interest to the SEFLIN membership. The complete mission statement can be found at /colldev/coll.mission.html.
The committee maintains an online publication called the Special Collections Directory at /colldev/publ.html.
This year, the committee is identifying and compiling a list of databases licensed by SEFLIN members for potential group purchasing and SEFLIN’s Virtual Library project. Also, this committee is planning a joint meeting with the Reference Committee to discuss the core reference collection for SEFLIN’s Virtual Library project.
Government Documents Committee
The Government Documents Committee is headed by Chair Dawn Smith, Florida Atlantic University, and Vice Chair Jeannette Neuschafer, St. Thomas University.
The committee’s plans for this year are to compose and publish a position paper on the topic of Why Be A Depository?; develop and present an educational workshop for the Florida Library Association Annual Conference; educate the recently elected Congressional Representatives about the Depository Library Program; and update and publish on the Web its SEFLIN Government Documents brochure.
Interlibrary Loan Committee
The Interlibrary Loan Committee is headed by Chair Ken Frankel, Florida Atlantic University, and Vice Chair Mary Monaco, Saint Thomas University.
The ILL Committee coordinated and reported on the February test of the DLLI (Distance Library Learning Initiative) statewide courier service.
Also the committee sponsored and co-sponsored a number of SEFLIN Continuing Education and Training Academy workshops, including The Successful Searcher, ILL for New and Selective Users, OCLC Boot Camp, ILL: Beyond the Basics, and Creative Alternatives in ILL Workflow.
Library Administration and Management Committee
The LAM Committee is headed by Chair Harriett MacDougall, Nova Southeastern University, and Vice Chair Rita Pellen, Florida Atlantic University.
The purpose of the LAM Committee is to create a forum for assistant directors, associate directors, and campus directors from member libraries. The committee addresses professional issues, receives SEFLIN regular updates, and develops regional projects. A major goal of the committee is to promote the development of leadership skills throughout the region. The committee is also committed to enhancing communications in order to foster an understanding of SEFLIN by staff of individual libraries, to increase coordination among committee representatives, and to advise and assist the SEFLIN Board on relevant items.
This year, the LAM committee has created several subcommittees to focus on the following projects: Awards Program, Recruitment/ Retention/Internships/Job Exchanges, Sun Seekers, Mentoring, Leadership, Strategic Planning, and Committees.
Also, the LAM Committee has been working to develop a comprehensive leadership program. On Jan. 27, 2000, the SEFLIN Board of Directors reviewed and approved the proposal to establish the SEFLIN Library Leadership, Education, and Training Program. In addition to the already established Sun Seekers Program for emerging leaders, the LAM Committee has identified three additional leadership groups and will be developing programs for each. The three groups are Chief Leaders, Senior Leaders, and Middle Management Leaders. LAM has already scheduled the ARL Leadership Institute for Middle Management Leaders on Sept. 12-14, 2000.
As for the focus on library recruitment and retention, the LAM Committee is developing a survey for member libraries to be used to compile information about recruitment issues and looking at how internships might help libraries with recruitment. "I believe this active committee will take on the recruitment and retention of staff with a vengeance and will develop a program that will strengthen and enhance recruitment efforts for all member libraries," MacDougall said. "As a group we can make a compelling statement about the benefits of working in libraries in Southeast Florida. It will be possible to develop a recruitment campaign that will highlight the wide range of employment opportunities in the libraries of Southeast Florida. Add to this the leadership and mentoring opportunities provided by SEFLIN and the Southeast Florida area libraries will have much to offer any prospective employee."
Preservation and Conservation Committee
Chair Dr. Janis Jordan, Miami-Dade Community College, and Vice Chair Vicki Silvera, Florida International University, head up the Preservation and Conservation Committee.
The purpose of the committee is to promote cooperation among SEFLIN institutions interested in the preservation and conservation of library materials; to disseminate information about preservation and conservation issues and their methodologies, and to promote a forum for the discussion of those concerns. The goals of the committee are pursued in three broad areas: meetings and workshops, publications, and education.
The committee recently sponsored a SEFLIN Continuing Education and Training Academy Book Repair Workshop with presenter Margaret "Peggy" Bing, Curator/Cataloger, Bienes Center for the Literary Arts.
The committee is also sponsoring and coordinating an open forum on Disaster Planning on June 2, 2000, with Jennifer Mwaisela, Director of Environment, Health, and Safety Development, Florida International University.
For more information on this committee, go to /preserv/.
Reference Committee
Chair Jane Craig, Palm Beach County Library, and Vice Chair Heidi Lowry, Florida International University, head the Reference Committee.
The Reference Committee promotes and enhances reference and information services among the SEFLIN member institutions through cooperative efforts. To achieve this the Committee pursues activities in three broad areas: Education, Advisement, and Communication. For the complete mission statement and details, please go to /ref/.
1999/2000 plans for the Reference Committee include hosting the Energizing III Conference Bridging the Distance from Ideas to Applications which is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, 2000. In the area of Advisement, the committee is continuing to monitor the use of the SHELLS Union List and will update its Reference Committee directory. Under Communication, the committee plans for this year call for the scheduling of two focus group meetings to share information on current topics of concern to reference librarians.
Serials Committee
Chair David Goldsmith, Florida International University, and newly appointed Vice Chair Dani Lichtenberg from Palm Beach County Library System spearhead the Serials Committee.
The mission of the SEFLIN Serials Committee is to work cooperatively with its members to promote the collection and sharing of library resources via the Union List of Serials, to facilitate training by mentoring new members and by sponsoring workshops for all members, and to support professional development of members by providing a forum for the sharing of information and ideas.
"I think SEFLIN is a great resource . . . for training, sharing resources, meetings, and networking with people from other types of libraries," Goldsmith said.
The Serials Committee has three major goals for the 1999-2000 year, including serials union list maintenance, SHELLS evaluation and evolution, and training. To support these goals, the committee has sponsored SEFLIN Continuing Education and Training Academy workshops, including The Modern Serial: Not Just Print Anymore!, a popular two-part workshop presented by Cecilia Leathem, Head, Serials Cataloging & Binding, University of Miami.
The committee is also developing standard notes for electronic resources holdings. "Our institution has over 1,500 electronic journals available," Goldsmith said. "We own actual data for a little over half of them."
Technical Committee
Chair Doug Lehman of MDCC-Kendall and Vice Chair Richard Fredericksen of Nova Southeastern head the Technical Committee.
The mission of the Technical Committee is to assist the SEFLIN Executive Director in planning and evaluating products and services; maintain awareness of and review evolving technology; review and disseminate the means of access to other resources; and develop programs for training SEFLIN members in the use of new technology.
The committee’s plans for 1999/2000 call for work in the areas of Emerging Technologies, Information Resources, Free-Net, and Continuing Education and Training. For details of the plans, go to /technical/.
CONNECTIONS
SEFLIN Committees: Connecting. Cooperating. Collaborating.
by Tom W. Sloan
This issue of Exchange is featuring the members and work of SEFLIN committees. Over the past seven months, I have attended many SEFLIN committee meetings. I have observed the organization and implementation of committee meetings, reported on SEFLIN current activities and future plans, and most importantly listened to and talked with a considerable number of committee members. Overall, SEFLIN committees appear to serve a number of interesting, important, and sometimes unique roles in supporting Southeast Florida libraries and their staff.
First, SEFLIN committees provide an opportunity and forum for library staff to share information and expertise. Every committee meeting I have attended provided valuable formal and informal information about Southeast Florida libraries and library services. This information varied from very specific concerns such as the status of a particular government publication to very broad topics such as how to recruit library staff. The sharing of expertise is also widespread as demonstrated by the successful and well-attended committee workshops such as the Youth Services Professionals Planning for the Future.
Second, SEFLIN committees provide an excellent occasion for SEFLIN members to give feedback and advice to SEFLIN staff, and for SEFLIN staff to listen to and talk with members. A number of SEFLIN committees are critical partners in planning, implementing, and evaluating SEFLIN services. The Interlibrary Loan Committee has been the key partner in testing and evaluating the DLLI service. Additionally, in support of SEFLIN’s future virtual library project, the Collection Development Committee is collecting and organizing information on licensed databases.
Third, SEFLIN committees identify continuing education and training needs of Southeast Florida library staff and plan events to enhance skills and knowledge. Committees have recently sponsored a wide variety of educational offerings. The Library Administration and Management Committee has sponsored the Sun Seekers Leadership Institute and ARL Advanced Leadership Workshops, the Preservation and Conservation Committee sponsored the Book Repair Workshop, the Interlibrary Loan Committee sponsored a series of SOLINET sessions on ILL services, the Cataloging Committee sponsored the four-day OCLC Boot Camp, and the Children and Youth Services Committee sponsored I’m Not a Scientist, but I Play One at the Library! On July 25, 2000, the entire SEFLIN membership is invited to attend the Energizing III Conference, which is organized and delivered by the Reference Committee.
Wealth of Information
SEFLIN staff provides support of committees in a number of ways. The SEFLIN Committee Leadership Guidebook provides a wealth of information on the "who, what, when, where, why, and how" of SEFLIN committees. Other publications are distributed in print and available online to assist committee members and include the SEFLIN 1999/2000 Directory, SEFLIN Map of Libraries, SEFLIN Committee Horizons: 1998-99 Annual Reports and 1999-2000 Annual Plans, SEFLIN Strategic Plan for FY2000/2001, EXCHANGE quarterly newsletter, and the SEFLIN Academy Continuing Education Quarterly Calendar.
One of the best resources available to SEFLIN committee members is SEFLIN’s e-mail distribution lists. The lists provide a wonderful opportunity for asking questions and posting information. The distribution lists are available to any interested staff of SEFLIN member libraries. All committee members are automatically subscribed to their committee’s list. Committee members are not removed from a list at the end of their appointed term unless requested. The distribution lists are regularly used in planning committee meetings and posting committee minutes.
As I have learned about the value and importance of SEFLIN committees, I have also heard many comments about the need to streamline and improve the structure and operations of SEFLIN committees. The future success of SEFLIN committees will depend on rethinking why we need committees, how committees contribute to improving library services in Southeast Florida, and how we can operate committees in the most effective and efficient ways.
I sincerely appreciate the warm welcome extended to me by SEFLIN committee members. I also wish to thank committee members, particularly the committee chairs, for being patient with me as I have learned about SEFLIN and Southeast Florida libraries. SEFLIN committees have made and will continue to make a significant contribution to the success of SEFLIN and cooperative library activities. I look forward to our continuing efforts to ensure that SEFLIN committees meet the needs of SEFLIN member libraries and their staff.
Leadership Profile
Margaret Elliston
SEFLIN Board of Directors
St. Thomas University Library Director
by Angela Feig
If you say the word dessert to most people, images of rich Crème Brulee, Tiramasu, or home-baked apple pie ala mode appear in their heads.
But when St. Thomas University Library Director Margaret Elliston thinks of dessert, she envisions beautiful, one-of-a-kind historical items and documents like the Magna Carta, Shakespeare’s first folio, and the Lindisfarne Gospels, which she saw on a recent visit to London’s British Library. "It was like going in and having dessert," Elliston said, recalling her visit. "Just seeing one document was thrilling."
Because historical documents are Elliston’s dessert, she cannot wait to sink her teeth into the boxes of St. Thomas University’s historic documents, when she retires in August as Library Director and begins her role as the Library’s part-time archivist.
"I’m hoping to do this retirement gradually," Elliston said, citing the precedents set by retired Lynn University Library Director Kathleen Clunan and retired NSU-Einstein Library Director Bob Bogorff, who both decided to work part-time upon their retirement.
"About 10 years ago I started thinking about what I would do after retirement," Elliston said. "Because I am interested in archival management and thought this is something I might do when I retire, that would also help the university, I took a course at the National Archives in Washington D.C. to familiarize myself with archiving. Next, I want to visit the University of Miami and Florida International University and contact an archival group in the area to increase my knowledge in this area."
If historic documents are Elliston’s dessert, then her more than 25-year career in librarianship has provided her with a satisfying main course of the books, people, and life-long learning she loves. And her plate is spilling over. As part of her role as library director, Elliston serves on STU committees for Academic Policy, the Library, and Deans and Directors. She also serves on SEFLIN’s Board, and on SEFLIN’s committees for Collection Development, and, not surprisingly, Preservation and Conservation. She has tapped staff members Bryan Cooper to serve on SEFLIN’s Library Administration and Management Committee and Jeannette Neuschaefer to serve on SEFLIN’s Government Documents Committee.
Her love of helping people is apparent in her work as a sustaining member of the Junior League of Fort Lauderdale and every Sunday when she teaches religion to second graders at St. Anthony Parish. "I love young people," Elliston said.
It is also obvious in that she chooses to work the STU Reference Desk every Saturday and when she teaches bibliographic instruction classes to new students. "STU is a smaller library, and I wear many hats," Elliston said. "It also gives me a very good idea of what students are needing."
Life-Long Learning
Her love of learning is reflected in the way she seizes every opportunity as a learning experience. Whether she is familiarizing herself with a new library database to help a student; traveling to England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, or Spain, as she has done recently; attending the opera; or reading a biography, she is an enthusiastic, life-long student. "You have to keep learning it all the time," Elliston remarked. "Everybody today must have a commitment to continuing education."
Her love for books and reading is reflected in her enjoyment of fiction by author Jon Hassler and in her interest in biographies. In fact, it was her love of books and helping people that led Elliston to a career in Library Science.
She completed her graduate studies in Library Science at the Catholic University of America. She worked at Marymount College (now Lynn University) and Broward Community College before taking a position at Biscayne College/St. Thomas University, in 1975, where she has remained.
Wonderful Team
She has a staff of nine. "We are a very small staff and all wear more than one hat," Elliston said. "Everyone takes a turn at Reference and Circulation. I don’t like to brag, but I think I have a wonderful team."
What milestones brought STU to where it is today? "That’s very easy," Elliston said. "The first was when Library Director Father John Bresnahan joined Solinet in 1976 with the help of a Kellogg Grant [for small college libraries]."
"Second, when I came we had 6,000 square feet in Kennedy Hall with 52,000 books and 400 journals. So you can imagine this tiny little space. . . What students got then was within those four walls." The library had a fund raising drive and, in 1982, the new 50,000 square foot library opened.
"Third, we joined SEFLIN in 1988, right after the initial grant. We came in at the same time as Palm Beach County. It brought us into this special consortium where we were getting help from fellow librarians, had continuing educational opportunities, courier service, and interlibrary loan. I felt like, instead of just being associated with St. Thomas, I was a branch of this large library system." She credits SEFLIN with helping St. Thomas University get from card catalog to CD-ROM products and providing continuing education opportunities.
"Fourth, in 1998 we signed a contract with Endeavor Information Systems, Inc., for the Voyager System."
"Look how far we’ve come from the initial PCs to the Internet, the Web, and online databases," said Elliston. "What we can do today is mind boggling. There’s change and more change. Who knows what’s next?"
Taking a fast forward to her August semi-retirement. Along with her archiving project, Elliston also plans to throw her energy and enthusiasm into STU’s Friend’s Organization to help raise money for Library projects and needs not covered in the budget.
What else? She refers to a comment made by Sam Morrison, BCL Library Director. "When someone asked Sam what he was going to do when he retired, he said, ‘Travel, read, and rest.’ I’d like to do a little of that too," Elliston says, smiling. It’s easy to imagine the travel and reading-Elliston has her eye on a book by Hassler, and is planning a trip to the Holy Land and a return visit to Rome. But it’s hard to imagine that Elliston will have time for rest. As for dessert, Elliston will have plenty of that in her role as part-time archivist, not to mention her favorite-Cherries Jubilee.

Woman of the Year Nominees
Nancy Kalikow Maxwell, Library Director, and Daniele Perez-Venero, Reference Librarian, are two of 15 women nominated for Barry University’s Woman of the Year. Barry’s ForU says the following about the nominees: "Nancy has experienced more significant changes in her one-year as the library director than many directors will throughout their entire careers. In addition to her unparalleled ability to adapt and maintain her sense of humor and perspective, Nancy is also a wife and mother, graduate student, and author. Still she finds time for a fitness routine. She’s another example of women who juggle it all and do it well. Daniele gives tirelessly of herself to Barry students, faculty, and staff. COMMITTEE NEWS
Florida Public Documents Biennial Meeting
by Dawn Smith
At the recent Florida Public Documents Biennial meeting in Tallahassee, Florida Government Documents librarians got a peek at State Archival treasures dating back to the 1500s and a taste of future projects, including Famous Floridians on the Web, which will include pictures, biographies, and resources for teachers. The librarians also toured the State Library.
A number of Florida agencies were represented and shared their new activities, including the Florida Legislature’s Office of Economic and Demographic Research, Enterprise Florida, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, and Florida Legislature’s Law Books Division. The U.S. Bureau of the Census provided information on Census 2000 and American Factfinder.
Dr. Joe Knetsch, Senior Management Analyst II at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection spoke on his many successful lawsuits in defending and protecting public lands in Florida. He stressed how depository collections were important in many of the lawsuits because of their cartographic and geographic resources, along with oral and local histories. He emphasized that depository librarians should be very careful and selective when weeding their collections.

Continuing Education and Training
Something New Has Been Added To Your SEFLIN Academy!
The Summer Continuing Education & Training Quarterly Calendar has added a number of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite classes, a table of contents, and information on the market value of our workshops/classes. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced user there is something for you this quarter.
The market value of continuing education and training sessions is based on the review of several public and private sector training agencies including New Horizons and SOLINET. We have estimated the "market value" of an all-day hands-on training session in a computer lab as approximately $225 per person, and a half-day, hands-on training session in a computer lab as approximately $125 per person. Additionally, we have estimated the "market value" of a full day specialized training session (no lab) on a library topic as approximately $200 per person, and a half-day specialized training session on a library topic as approximately $100 per person. These cost are based only on registration fees and do not include any related costs.
We welcome any comments and questions regarding our efforts to document the value of collaboratively planning and purchasing continuing education and training. Thank you for your support of SEFLIN and cooperative activities between Southeast Florida libraries!

The SEFLIN Board of Directors has awarded Barbara Bush the SEFLIN 2000 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her exceptional support of libraries, literacy, and learning. SHELLS 2000The new and improved SHELLS 2000 (Serials Holdings - Electronic Library Lists), available at /shells/ or through individual Library Web page hotlinks, provides access to 56,995 unique titles and 281,902 holdings records. SHELLS is the first Florida web version of a regional Union List of Serials. This is a collaborative project of three of Florida’s six multi-type library cooperatives to make OCLC Serials holdings more accessible to member libraries and their users. The vehicle chosen for the project is a Web-based Internet service developed by Auto-Graphics. Participants include the libraries of SEFLIN, PLAN (Panhandle Library Access Network), and CFLC (Central Florida Library Cooperative). These groups represent the libraries of 33 Florida counties.
SHELLS particular focus is on specific holdings of serials titles that are owned by libraries in the regions. Serials are represented by newspapers, journals, magazines, select government documents, and much more.
The SHELLS 2000 project is funded in part by federal LSTA (Library Services Technology Act) grant funds administered by the Florida Division of Library & Information Services.
The Shells 2000 project was managed by Bill Mooney, SEFLIN’s Manager of Technology Services, and Craig Stillings, Consultant.
